The Universe-Pluto

Pluto
In our solar system, there are 9 planets. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and the 9th planet is Pluto. About Pluto, it is usually the most distant. But Pluto has a strange orbit which brings it closer to the sun than Neptune. It differs from the other planets not only in it size-it is very small-but it also has an elongated orbit, whereas the other planets have almost circulus orbit. It is the smallest and coldest planet in the solar system.Pluto is so far from Earth and it is less than two thirds the size of Earth's moon so that make it undiscovered for many years.

In 1978, Astronomers discovered that Pluto has a large moon named Charon.Pluto and Charon are sometimes called double planet because the moon is so large compared to the planet.Charon orbits the planet about six days and nine hours!
There are many other objects in the solar system, such as asteroids and meteorites, that are not classified as planets.
