Desserts in Cambodia


In each Countries always have dessert food or fruit for their Country . But because of Cambodia have a lot of desserts such as Chek ktis , Baidomneub sangkya , Borbor sondekeav , Banhchernerk , Jahouy sap , Nom bot , Nom kom , Nom kor , Oun somchek , Sangkya larpov , Treap bay and something more else . Method to make them or ingredient in each dessert are different . And some dessert are very famous in Cambodia because some are very Delicious and easy to make .



Cambodian always do all these desserts when they have a married have to make to live in a new house or have some guest come to visit in their house . So they must make some food and desserts for receive them . Cambodian always do different desserts in each time . Sometime they make Borbor sondekeav or Baidomneub sangkya and usually they make Songkya larpov or Chek ktis because It's use a little of time and Chek ktis and Songkya larpov are the most famous desserts in Cambodia . Now we're going to tell all of you about how to make Chek ktis and Sangkya larpov . And the first we must tell about ingredient and method to make Chek ktis second is Sangkya larpov .
+ Ingredient of Chek ktis is :
- Coconut cream
- Sugar
- Salt ( don't make it become tasteless )
- Sago
- Bananas .

+ Method to make Chek ktis :
First we must slice the bananas become small small and put to soak in water
then put a little of salt in it . Put sago to soak in water become swell then lift up out
of the water . And then put the tip of coconut cream in to the pot and put sago and
the slice of bananas in to the pot , too . Then take to cook become split . If sago and
slice of bananas are cooked just put a little of salt and sugar in it and taste If It's
sweet enough just put the trunk of coconut cream in to that pot . It's already to
make Chek ktis and we can eat with happy , too .
+ Ingredient of Sangkya larpov is :
- Pumpkin
- Coconut cream
- Sugar
- Egg
- Coconut
- Salt ( don't make it become tasteless ) .

+ Method to make Sangkya larpov :
First we must take the pumpkin to clean by picking to take the seed out and clean
it become neat and put it at one place . Then take the egg and beat it but take only
red egg put to mix with the trunk of coconut cream and put a little of salt and
sugar . Then stir it become entire and taste If It's enough just dip it in to the
pumpkin that we picking to take the seed out . Then take it to steam in the pot . 20
minute later just cooked . Then we can eat this dessert with happy .
All of desserts in Cambodia always nice and good . So If anyone wanted to eat desserts of Cambodia we would try to make that desserts follows the describe above !
